Tax Information

IRS Tax forms are available in front of the Local History and Genealogy Room next to Reference Services. The library has supplies of many of the most popular forms and a set of "masters" of all the forms, which can be photocopied. Our staff will help you find the needed forms, but please remember we are not tax experts and cannot give tax advice. The IRS has a website which offers downloadable files of most of the forms and publications:
U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) http://www.irs.gov
IRS Forms and Publications http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/index.html
Archived IRS Forms and Publications http://www.fedworld.gov/irs.html
IRS Frequently Asked Questions http://www.irs.gov/faqs/index.html
IRS 1040 Central for Individuals http://www.irs.gov/individuals/
IRS e-File Information http://www.irs.gov/efile/index.html
Though Library Staff can not give tax advice, or assist in filling out forms, it is possible to find help on the Internet. The sites listed below may have useful information in helping you fill out your tax forms. Some provide links to other agencies who can personally assist in filing your taxes.
