The doors will be locked at 6:00pm, so be sure to be in the library before then or you'll get locked out of all the fun!

The library computers will be available for free access to the Footnote database of millions of military records, Dawes Rolls and other important records. Use Ancestry and the Heritage Quest database of Census, Revolutionary War Pension Records, the Freedman's Bank, PERSI and thousands of family history books. Search Newsbank Historical Newspapers database that has complete newspapers dating back to the 1600's! The list goes on and on and on.

You may also bring your own laptop and use the library's WiFi. Regretfully, Footnote and Ancestry are only accessible on the library computers.

We're having a star party & you're invited! Come on out to the Library on Tuesday, February 19th as we turn our eyes to the sky. It's the night of a New Moon and, with the help of LeTourneau University students and Physics Professor Dr. Steve Ball, we'll be able to view through several different telescopes! We should also be able to see the Moon, Jupiter and its moons, as well as the Pleiades, a star cluster- weather permitting, of course!

We'll be outside, starting about 7:00 PM, so please dress appropriately for the temperatures outside. This event will be fun for the whole family and hopefully the weather will cooperate!  :)
