This class will offer students an opportunity to become familiar with spreadsheets.  They will learn what a spreadsheet is and some common uses for them.  Using hands-on exercises the students will create a simple budget spreadsheet and an electronic checkbook.  This class assumes the student has some experience with Windows and using a mouse.  Beginner class.

Introduction To iMac

They will learn some of the basic components of the iMac  computer and what makes an Apple computer different from a PC. Students will also learn to operate the mouse and keyboard and will learn iMac terminology. Through hands-on exercises, students will explore sample programs and gain familiarity with the basic layout and of the iMac. This class is designed for beginning computer users.

Author David Brown will join be here On Wednesday, May 29th, to talk about his book Gone at 3:17. The Untold Story of the Worst School Disaster in American History. Brown's book is all about the 1937 explosion at a school in New London, Texas. A former reporter for the Longview News Journal, Brown has extensively researched the material for this book on both professional and personal levels.

The presentation will begin at 10:30 AM and a book signing will follow. Brown will have a limited number of books on hand to sell but it is recommended that interested patrons purchase copies ahead of time and, if desired, bring them to the presentation to have them signed. For people interested in reading the book ahead of time but don't wish to purchase, we do have two copies available for checkout at the Library!

This April, the Kilgore College Rangerettes will be here to meet with our youth patrons! Join us Thursday April 25,th as the ladies let us in on what it takes to be a part of this world-famous drill team! We'll be gathering in the Moeschle Room at 7:00 PM so don't miss out! 

Killing Kennedy is the March book of the month for the Informal Ladies' Book Club that meets here at the Library. This month's meeting will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 6:30 PM.

This class will offer students a review of the skills learned in Excel I and introduce them to inserting cells, sorting data, formatting spreadsheets, and entering formulas.  Hands-on exercises will include changes to pre-existing spreadsheets.  This class assumes the student has some experience with Windows and using a mouse, and has taken the Introduction to Excel class.  Intermediate class.

Calling all Warriors fans! Join us Wednesday, March 13^th at 2:00 PM in the Moeschle Room for a pawsome program all about the cats and their clans! We'll be doing a reading from the series and will also create our own feline Warrior character and make a paper bag puppet of it!  Don’t miss out on all the wonderful Warrior fun!
