This class offers students a review of the skills learned in Word I and introduces students to lists, tables, and drawing. Hands-on exercises include review of cutting, pasting, and formatting text, creating a table and list, and drawing. Julie Williams' great uncle was on the legendary Titanic when the great ship went down. As a result, Julie grew up hearing all of his stories firsthand and naturally grew up with a fascination surrounding the ship and it's fate. She went on to write a book, A Rare Titanic Family, and it was published last year!
The Birmingham, Ala; author will be here, in the Longview Public Library's Moeschle Room, on Friday, January 18th, to share her great uncle's stories with us. She will also discuss her book and autograph copies for interested patrons!
The presentation will begin at 10:30 AM so please make arrangements to join us for this special appearance!
Got fines? Still holding on to that movie you checked out months ago? Why not make things right in 2013?
During the week of January 14 - 18, bring in your overdue movies and books and we'll save you some money- no questions asked! If your account is not in collections, we'll waive all of the fines and fees associated with the item(s). If you account is in collections, we can still waive the replacement cost of the item, which is usually a good portion of the debt owed.
Reminder: Not returning Library materials is theft of property and affects everyone!
Items that have been severely damaged are not eligible for waived fines as we still need to replace them.

This month's "Terrific Thursday" event features our friends from Texas Bank & Trust! Come join us for their fun program that teaches children ages 5-12 all about money and how to manage it. This isn't your typical boring lecture- it's an interactive activity! Texas Bank & Trust has lots of methods to make learning about money fun and easy like their MyClubhouse tools, games and stories starring cute characters like Digitz the Dog, Bill Dollar and Peggy Banks!
