Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library are a support organization that provides funding and services for the Library that are not provided through other sources.
Library Foundation
The Longview Public Library Foundation is an independent non-profit organization which develops endowments and solicits donations that will allow the Longview Public Library to reach its full potential of service. The Foundation promotes and supports the Longview Public Library, joining its efforts with those of the City of Longview and Gregg County for the benefit of all citizens.
North East Texas Library System
The Northeast Texas Library System (NETLS) serves the public libraries in 33 counties in the northeast corner of the state. Cooperation helps NETLS members meet the challenge of bringing the best in library service to their own communities through continuing education, library consulting, leveraged discounts, and other resources.
Texas Library Association
Texas Library Association is a professional organization that promotes librarianship and library service in Texas. Through legislative advocacy, continuing education events, and networking channels, TLA offers members the opportunity for service to the profession as well as for personal growth.
Texas State Library and Archives Commission
Supports Texas libraries through innovative services, rich content, and easy-to-access resources. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission provides all Texas public library members access to the TexShare Databases.
Public Library Association
Public Library Association is a division of the American Library Association. It is a member-driven organization that provides a diverse program of publication, advocacy, continuing education, and programming for its members and others interested in the advancement of public library service.
American Library Association
The American Library Association is the oldest and largest library association in the world. Its mission is to promote the highest quality library and information services and public access to information. ALA offers professional services and publications to members and nonmembers.

The Friends of the Longview Public Library has compiled 250 recipes from Longview families into an attractive keepsake cookbook. Proceeds from cookbook sales will help fund future community projects sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Cookbooks are available at both Access Services desks for $10.00 each by cash or check.
