The Longview Public Library serves the residents of Longview and Gregg County. The Longview Public Library is located at 222 West Cotton Street in a spacious 35,000 square foot facility built in 1987. The Library offers a varied collection consisting of reference materials, local history, government documents, maps and microforms, magazines and newspapers, and excellent fiction and nonfiction collections for children, teens, and adults. The Library also offers DVDs, Blu-Rays, computers, WIFI service, eBooks, eAudiobooks, and large print books to complement the collection.

The Friends of the Longview Public Library has compiled 250 recipes from Longview families into an attractive keepsake cookbook. Proceeds from cookbook sales will help fund future community projects sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Cookbooks are available at both Access Services desks for $10.00 each by cash or check.
